Themed Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Reading Between the Pages. I was reminded to participate again by Victoria TheBookGatherer.
Just so that you all know what this is about, here are the rules:
- A theme is posted each week (on Thursdays)
- You must select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the book you are currently reading
- Mention the author and the book title in the post
- The theme must be conveyed in the sentence (not necessarily the actual word)
Okay, so this week our theme is SCHOOL (or anything related):
"The building looked like a large old house. Inside it had a musty book smell and a crowded feel. I half expected the librarian to be a tiny, bespectacled woman with her hair in a bun, shushing people, but instead a twenty-something man in khakis stood behind the counter. He stared at me as I walked through the door, his mouth slightly agape. I stopped by the desk and asked, "Where are your records and archives?"

A man as a librarian for some reason always surprises me. I think when I find men book bloggers I am equally surprised too. wonder why??
ReplyDeleteGreat snippet and thanks for participating...
