Goodreads:
On a warm summer afternoon, in Northern Arizona, a double homicide stains the ground with blood. Detectives are called out to handle the investigation, each plagued with their own internal demons, and aren't prepared for what they are about to find.
Detective Lauren Bruni, faces a world of darkness and evil, as a demonic force begins to leash an attack on a small town. As the stakes begin to rise, so does the stunning truth, that not even Lauren can imagine.
In a world where her life had started to fall apart, she must pick up the pieces and push forward in an effort to save those that she loves the most.
Joel M. Andre takes the Horror genre and pushes the boundaries in a tale full of suspense, dark comedy and genuine horror.
Review:
Detective Lauren Bruni is an honest cop, she takes her job seriously. A double homicide sets the stage for a string of bazaar murders; Lauren will stop at nothing to track down the killer. Little does she know that there are supernatural forces at work.
It seems that Lauren has been hand selected by God to aid in a battle against the Devil and his minions. While the body count continues to rise, Lauren is forced to accept that she is the only one who can put an end to this evil.
The Black Chronicles: Cry of the Fallen is an incredible novel! This is horror at its best. Written in spectacularly vivid detail, I was able to imagine the story as though it was a movie playing in my head. The author weaved the story together like a master craftsman, I was mesmerized from beginning to end. I am excited to see what's next for Lauren and how she will save the world from the unspeakable evil that lurks in the dark.
