Being on time is a struggle for the average person. Trying to do too many things in small window of time is never good, so why rush?
Rushing is not good for productivity and it does absolutely nothing for moral. When you are in a rush, you are stressed and easily overwhelmed. But you already know this, yet you routinely wait until the very last minute to get things done.
You already know this is a pattern, but what are you going to do to change it? The resolution is simple, plan ahead. Take a few extra moments to put a plan in place. Rather than waiting, get started while things are fresh on your mind. There is no time like the present, right?
One of the best thing you can do for your life is keep stress at a minimum. Sure there will be situations that must be done in a hurry, but for everything else...plan ahead.
I agee, the less stress the better. My way of dealing with stress is in jogging or writing (not at the same time).

@Mike - Thanks for stopping by.I have to learn to follow my own advice on this one. I am notorious for flying by the seat of my pants, hard behavior to unlearn! LOL
ReplyDeletePaid a visit to your blog as well :-)
Oh but we love the burn of the pressure don't we? There is something about that thrill of accomplishment while under the knife. I think it can be accomplished without that continual sense of worry. Thus planning is born. But unfortunately you have to feel the burn to realize, "What a minute, this shouldn't be so hot!"
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder Stacey : )

@Sue - you're the best! I do feel the rush of success every once and again when I don't plan. But lately (now that I'm getting older), I find myself stressing, well at least until I realize I'm stressing and then I can bring it down a notch. Working on finding a happy medium...or not! LOL
ReplyDeleteWow oh wow! You took the thought right out of my head. Can you tell I suffer from this exact thing every day? Lol. You're right, though; we all need to slow down. Good advice!
