Elizabeth Berg is one of my all time favorite writers. She writes with such poise and elegance, but more importantly her characters have a way of speaking to me. I haven’t read every single book that she’s ever written, but I have read several.
Never Change has to be my favorite! It’s the story of Myra a nurse who is all alone in this world, with the exception of her dog, Frank. Suddenly she finds herself working as a visiting nurse for her high school crush, Chip, who just so happens to have terminal cancer. It’s an amazing journey of a woman who lands the man of her dreams, loses the man of her dreams, but meets herself as a woman…who is capable of loving and being loved.
Can you say Kleenex? Sniffle…sniffle…sigh.
I first became acquainted with Elizabeth (we’re on a first name basis now, even though she doesn’t know it) years ago when my book club read Talk Before Sleep (another tear jerker). Elizabeth and I have been hanging tough every since. Elizabeth makes me want to write. She inspires me…but she’s not the only one….Stay Tuned!

I love reading comments, almost as much as I love reading books!
